Gianluca Imperato is acclaimed by international press as a pianist who is gifted with great sensitivity and artistic maturity ( P. Longo, "La Republica)," Stunning and passionate ("S.Delfino "La Stampa) and who "has the power to move the listener and guide him to the world of imagination" ( "S.Lusawa, Polnische Akademie der Wissenschaften in Wien).

Gianluca Imperato has been a winner of more than thirty prizes at many prestigious international piano competitions as Berling Rising star Philarmonie debut, Edel-Latos Chatou-Paris , "Rovere d'Oro", Thalberg piano competition  "Palma d'Oro”, Krakow International Contemporary Music Festival, and has been awarded several scholarships among which is G.Solti Foundation grant (2012) as well as the scholarship offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Gianluca Imperato regularly performs at some of the european best-known institutions including the “Società dei concerti”( Milano),Chopin Society (Warsaw),Ravello Concert Society,Cervo festival, Fondazione Santa Cecilia di Portogruaro as well as at the important concert halls such as “Chopin Hall”,Lazienki Park (Warsaw),Conservatory G.Verdi, Palazzo delle stelline ( Milano),Teatro Jofre de Ferrol ( Spain), Auditorium M.Ravel Paris and many others.

Gianluca Imperato has made live recordings for “Radio Popolare” and “Radio Classica”. His first cd,  "A piano Journey" including music from Scarlatti to Ravel for the label “Movimento Classical" has been very much appreciated by the critics. In may was 2017  released the album  “Reinhold Gliere piano works” for "Brilliant Classics" that includes several pieces in world premiere recording and that had enthusiastic reception from the critics.

His students are prize winner in international piano competitions and music conservatory graduates. 

Gianluca Imperato was born in Italy in 1981 and after obtaining a second level laurea at the San Pietro a Majella Conservatoire in Naples with the highest votation he continued his studies in Germany under the guidance of Professor Matti Raekallio and Chopin university in Warsaw with Professor Alicia Paleta-Bugaj. For his artistic development were also very important the lessons with professor Boris Petrushansky and Roberto Plano as well Donatella Sollima and Antonio di Cristofano.
